Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats does Chordo Pro support?
Chordo Pro natively uses ICLF (Inline Chorded Lyrics Format), an open plain-text standard. You can also import ChordPro files, Ultimate Guitar format, and inline bracket notation. All imports are converted to clean ICLF.
Does Chordo Pro work offline?
Yes, 100%. Chordo Pro works entirely without an internet connection. All your data stays on your device — no account required, no cloud sync, no analytics.
How do I transfer my songs to another device?
Use the export feature to save your songs as .iclf files, then transfer them via AirDrop, email, USB, or any file-sharing method. ICLF files are plain text and work everywhere.
Which instruments are supported?
Any stringed instrument — configure 1 to 12 strings, any tuning, and any number of frets. Comes with presets for guitar, ukulele, bass, banjo, mandolin, and more. Each setup has voicings at multiple difficulty levels with an interactive fretboard.
Can I transpose a song to a different key?
Yes. Open any song in the viewer and use the transpose controls to shift all chords up or down by semitones. The original file is not modified — transposition is applied on the fly.
What platforms does Chordo Pro run on?
Chordo Pro is available for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. Windows and Linux versions are planned.
